Thank you, people seem to say nice things about my writing, really appreciated! It was a Lockdown project over Christmas holidays, me in Munich unable to travel to UK, so it was my holiday project to write up stuff…….
It prompted stories of years ago – not nostalgia or good ol’ days, but so interesting as learning for who we are, what shapes us, life lessons……..
Anyway, hope you enjoy!

What People Say

Oh, David! What a cosy feeling I had reading this – your inimitable blend of social history, Portrush history, personal memories from yourself and others, and your humorous anecdotes all make it so readable.

David, your publications were a joy to read, the detail and accuracy of people and places in Portrush are now preserved for future generations.

Very very good David! The trouble is, reading your stories, then seeing another link, then a bit more, next thing is, it is midnight!

Oh David! Never was History so interesting! The humorous anecdotes lift any semblance of your information becoming too facts-and-figures, and red herrings keep us on our toes (named after the Route Hospital … famous bard, Chris de Burgh .. Ha!) Great post, once again.

What an amazing epic of memories from the town that so many of us call home or still think of as home even though we may be far away. A fantastic job and I’ve reconnected with lots of great people. Thank you David.
